The Captain's Welcome

On behalf of all the members of Crowborough Beacon Golf Club, I welcome you to our website where I hope you get a flavour of the wonderful golf experience that is available to you. The course will provide you with an exciting challenge no matter what level of golf you play, the pictures provide you with a sample of the stunning views you will experience which changes with the seasons. I have been a member for the past 12 years and never tire of seeing them.

I am particularly honoured to be Club Captain during a year when we celebrate two special occasions as a nation – the 2012 Olympics and the Queen’s Jubilee. In addition to the usual golf and social calendar at the club, we have organised some special events which reflect these two occasions, as well as raising much needed funds for our chosen charities which are Banardos and Friends of Crowborough Hospital.

Much work has been completed over the past few years to improve the course, now rated the 70^th best course in England by Golf World, so that it is playable by all levels of golfers and much more is planned for the future. As a result we have been rewarded by being selected to host the EGU County Team Championships in July 2012.

The club offers a warm welcome to all, whether you are looking for a club to join, enjoying a pleasant day’s golf in spectacular surroundings, just calling in for a drink and taking in the views from the balcony or as part of a visiting society. Our catering team is renowned for providing good wholesome food at a reasonable price.
