Hole 9 - Alchornes

The 9th hole is played to a fairway sloping gently from left to right, the second shot being played uphill on a left-hand dog leg to a sloping green rising from front to back.

The green is protected by humps of various shapes and sizes. There is a line of firs to the rear of the green and a halfway hut, all of which form a natural boundary to the adjacent 10th hole. A perfect drive would be to pitch on the left edge of the fairway from where the ball should release and run to the right - too far to the right and you must beware as the land slopes away to leave you a much longer and more difficult shot to the green.
